Happy WOMEN'S Day!

Today is a holiday, Women's Day, in South Africa. To celebrate, Wimpy (a local restaurant chain) was giving away free coffees to women (and supposedly men who were brave enough to wear heels into the restaurant!). Sarah and I took advantage of the deal and got ourselves a free Wimpy coffee. Yeah for Women's Day!

Praise&Prayer

Pray for the REACH team (an American team that has been at Refilwe since December) this week as they pack up, say good-bye, and leave on Thursday, Aug 6.
Thank the Lord for the awesome opportunities last week with the medical team. Now pray that we will be able to follow up on those of the 1,227 people that were seen who need continued support.
The American hospice team was a huge blessing and there was so much mutual sharing between the HCWs and the team. Praise God for the encouragement and ministry that was done.
This week all of our homecare workers are back and without visitors, this is a "normal" week. Praise God for the training they received and pray that they can now apply it as they work in their communities.
Praise God for spiritual awareness--pray for continued awareness of spiritual attacks.
Continue to pray for the Mamas at Refilwe. Some money has been specifically given for this project, so Kat and I are planning activities about every 3 weeks.
Thank the Lord for safety and good health!
Praise God for the way that He reveals His truth in His Word.
Pray for the Home-based Care Team (as we continue to grow and make changes). We continue to test for HIV and are testing on Saturdays to reach the working population in our communities. Continue to pray for changed hearts for the workers.
Praise God for His goodness as He provides for all my needs.
Pray for the Papas and Mamas at Refilwe as they parent the children in the Godparents' program.

My face is set, my gait fast, my goal heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed.
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the energy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won't give up, shut up, let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ.
I AM A DISCIPLE OF JESUS.
I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me.
And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me --- my banner will be clear."
